Our Story
Carter finds inspiration everywhere—from the sea and nature to architecture, art, and ancient objects. "I often dive into a specific era in history and discover pieces that inspire my work," she explains. Her designs evolve organically, but key elements like clean lines, balance, and simplicity remain consistent. The color and placement of gemstones add a whimsical touch, while the overall design maintains a sense of order. "I believe in the power of less is more, working within limitations to explore variations of a core concept."
Carter’s design journey began at Parsons School of Design, where she studied Design Management, followed by earning her B.F.A. in Jewelry + Objects from Savannah College of Art and Design. She further honed her craft in Jewelry + Metalsmithing at the graduate department of Rhode Island School of Design.
Originally from the Connecticut countryside, Carter spent much of her childhood outdoors, collecting arrowheads, garnets, and mica—earthly treasures that ignited her passion for jewelry. Her work reflects this deep connection to nature, alongside her classical training as a goldsmith and designer. With meticulous attention to detail and a refined design sensibility, Carter’s collections range from everyday fine jewelry to unique custom pieces and engagement rings.
